Recently, while looking at old family photo's, I noticed that my attention kept being drawn to what was in the background of the pictures. Doing this has brought back a lot of memories: (I'm not even going to try to date these pictures)

I would guess...Randy's blessing day. But what I also noticed was the old Rexburg 1st ward LDS Chapel. That was the greatest church, full of nooks & crannies to explore. And as kids, we did.

Check out that lawn of dandelions. I remember picking dandelions and making necklaces with them. I wonder if every body had lawns full of dandelions & how popular weed killer was.

There's the Dabell house & what was the name of the other people? Dortie? I don't even know how it was spelled. It seems those two houses were hooked together. I used to play with Kathy Lee Dabell, who was the Dabell's grand daughter. The inside of the Dabell house was so cool. But stinky. (they smoked) Kathie Lee used to take this little ashtray that had a hinged lid, and go around the house clicking the lid up & down. She said it was to scare the (pretend) ghosts away. I also remember Kathy Lee giving me Coke to drink. I would pour it down the sink when she wasn't looking. (I was taught young not to drink that stuff!)

There's a bookcase my dad built. I wonder if it is the traveling bookcase. It has had many lives. First with our family when we were growing up, then it lived with Donnetta. Next it went to live with Nicole, and now it lives with Brad & Anisha.

Look at those white chairs in the background. I always wondered what their original color was! I've still got one of them here at my house. It's my sewing chair. It's now the chair of many colors. Mostly blue, but you can also see orange & white on it, along with many other splotches of paint from it being used as a chair to stand on while painting walls.

I LOVE this picture. It's full of things to remember. First, there's that pink blanket covering us up. Then there's that old radio, (notice the Readers Digest to the left of the radio?) How long has it been since you've thought about those "pink lady" lamps?
The headboard. Was there NOTHING my dad couldn't make? Check out the box of tissue. I didn't even know they made Charmin way back then. Cute kids. I look like a doll laying there in the middle.

I'm not even sure who this is. Gary? Randy? Anyway, looking at the planter made me remember when it fell apart and it had to be built again.
Next..... more outdoors & around town.

I want that pink blanket and those awesome lamps! I need to start searching on eBay I guess.
And the picture of my mom, Cheryl, and Randy in front of the book case cracked me up. I'm sorry, Mom if you're reading this, but I love the expression on your face!
Looking at the background and other going-ons is a hobby of mine too. Is always need to see stuff and be reminded. Thanks for the photos, can't wait to see more.
The bike and the boy are Randy. I had two Schwinn Typhoons over the years, but never one with a fake 'gas tank'. (My first was a used hand-me-down from a neighbor)
