Easter morning, April 22, 1984. Brad was just over 3 months old. I'm impressed that I even bought the 'quality' Lindt chocolate way back then!

Brad a year later on Easter day, April 6, 1985. Way back when the chair was new.

Here's Terrell with Brad and Emilie, Easter 1989. Check out those Gumbie Jammies!

Brad and Emilie coloring Easter eggs in 1991. Kimball keep reading.... you are bound to show up pretty soon.

Easter, 1991. I noticed while going thru my photo albums, that most of the Easter pictures show my kids in their PJ's. I guess I was more interested in getting pictures with the candy than how they looked when they were dressed for church. I think Emilie's dress this year was a Mini World hand-me-down from a cousin. In the background (upper left-hand side) you can see one of the neighbor's dogs. I can't remember if it's Suzy or Grizzley. That was a lot of years ago.

Easter 1992 - Moi with Brad, Emilie and Kimball.

Easter 1993. I picked this picture for obvious reasons. There's Spot sharing the photo with Brad and Emilie.

Easter 1993. I remember being so excited for Emilie to be able to wear all her Easter finery this year. She was really decked out. New dress, shoes, gloves, bow in hair, and hat. (the hat looks like it wants to fall off, because of the bow on top of her head).

Kimball, Easter 1993. He looks like he's chomping on some sort of sugar confection.

Easter, 1994. Emilie and Brad are letting colored water drip from their fingertips, in hopes that I will capture a drip in mid-air with my camera. The inside views of my house are fun - remembering what it used to look like years ago.

Kimball scooping up the candy, Easter 1997

Easter, 1997. This is what the floor always looked like at our house on Easter morning. I remember having a conversation with Cheryl (I think) many years ago. We were talking about Easter morning growing up, and how the candy was thrown all over the floor. You talk to other people, and this was not the case in their family. When we asked our mom why the candy was thrown all over the floor at our house, she said it was probably because she had to do it herself, and she was so tired that it was just easier to throw the candy all over the floor. It would be interesting to know if the tradition lives on today in the grandchildren of Glenn & LalaMae.
Have a great Easter weekend, everybody!!

I don't think we ever had candy thrown around on the floor. I think I remember a Easter or two that we had a jelly bean trail, but nothing like what you have in your pictures. Hmm.. that's an idea. Love the pictures.
I've been telling people for years that when the Easter Bunny got to our house, he just exploded.
Fun pictures :) Thanks for sharing!
I think the official story was that the Easter Bunny tripped coming up the stairs, spilling his eggs everywhere.
The tradition has not lived on at my own home though because my carpet is in bad need of being replaced and I'm grossed out by the idea of my kids eating anything off of it.
How fun. Maybe I will have to try doing Easter like that next year. Katie asked Grandma about the candy on the floor thing yesterday at Easter and it was fun to hear her and Randy talk about it. Randy said he tried it one year but it never caught on. Oh well to each his own right?
Fun pictures, I love the one of Emilie all decked out!
We would love to continue the tradition, but the dog would get to the candy before the kids did. Rich has very fond memories of the exploding Easter Bunny.
