This is the song I've been singing all week - I begin teaching it to our ward's Primary children tomorrow. I have loved this song since it came out in the "Friend" magazine several years ago. When I was Primary President, I asked the chorister to teach it to the children. Now it is one of our program songs for 2010. I am so happy that I get to teach it to the primary children again this year.
This song brings new meaning to me as I ponder the Book of Mormon story found in 3 Nephi, chapter 17. The song has such a beautiful message, no matter what your age.

That is a really nice song. The one I always think of is "We are Children...holding hands around the world." They taught the Primary Children that song when I was on my mission. The primary pianist was out sick for 5 or 6 weeks, and for that stint of time, my companion subbed as the Primary pianist, so I we got to go to Primary during that time, so I learned that song too.
That is the only thing I miss about teaching in Primary were the children's songs and the powerful meaning they have. I much rather teach in Relief Society, oh that's what I do. It seems we are both in our right places.
Mary... whenever we go on vacation and visit a ward, I still go to Primary and just sit in the back of the room & enjoy. Someday I will be released from Primary, then I will have to grow up and start liking Relief Society again.
P.S. I'm coming to your fine state (Tucson) next Sunday for a few days. My parents are going down to a condo - so I'm tagging along with my sisters. Please order some beautiful weather for us.
Hello? Oh hi, it's me. Remember me? I used to be a frequent visitor here and then, well....I let life get in the way. Looks like I have a bunch to catch up on!!!!
Going on 11 years in Primary, eh? Wow. I was in the Presidency for a short 9 months and then they kicked me out for no apparent reason. So, now I'm back in RS. We don't sing pretty songs like that in RS.
do you have room for three more on your adventure next week?
Our Primary kids sang this song last year and I love it! I'm excited to teach it to Moira this year.
